Golf

Golf becomes one of the most booming sports in the Czech Republic. Although the Golf club in Karlovy Vary has been established in 1904 and the Golf course in Marianske Lazne in 1905, the majority of new golf courses is created in the present period. The 18-holes golf courses, as Prague-Karlstein, Karlovy Vary and Marianske Lazne are located in beautiful landscapes and offer nice combination of superb lodging and dining and great golf experience.

Praha Karlstein Golf Club

Established in 1992 and the golf course opened in 1993, designed by Canadian Les Furber and Jim Eremko. It is situated in wooded hilly landscape with beautiful view over the Berounka valley with majestic castle of Karlstejn and yet only a few minutes’ drive from central Prague. A wide choice of Prague hotels is recommended.

Golf Club resort Paradise

Brand new golf course opened in 2003, is situated near to Prague in Benatky nad Jizerou, in a very nice landscape. The 9 holes golf course is dedicated for beginners and advanced players.

Karlovy Vary Golf Club

The oldest club in the Czech Republic was established in 1904. The golf course was constructed in 1932 by architect Noskowski at Olsova Vrata just 5 km out of the town. New clubhouse built in 1996. For hotel accommodation the Grandhotel Pupp and other fine hotels are recommended.

Marianske Lazne Golf Club

The oldest Golf course on Czech soil was inaugurated by King Edward VII. on 28 August 1905. The PGA Volvo Tour held here every year.

Stirin Golf Club

The golf course was laid out in 1992 in the grounds of Stirin castle about 20 km south of Prague close to the Prague-Brno motorway. Nice accommodation in the castle to be recommended. Prague hotels are also close.

Praha-Motol Golf Club

The Golf Club was established in 1926. The present 9-hole course was built within the city by architect Kamil Pilat. All Prague hotels are fine for accommodation.
